Training at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (B.A.) and at the University of Michigan (M.A., Ph.D.) does much to explain why I became a papyrologist. My interests lie principally in documentary papyrology, Latin epigraphy, ancient gender studies, and in the religious lives of women in Egypt in the Greek and Roman periods. In addition to the edition of previously unpublished texts, my publications will soon include a collection (co-edited with Angeliki Tzanetou) on women's rituals in the ancient Mediterranean and a monograph on the lives of women in Graeco-Roman Egypt,
